Fares have been reduced on public transport fares to a 50 cent flat rate across all zones and modes on the Translink network across Queensland, for approximately six months.

This includes all Translink regional buses, and bus, train, ferry, tram and on demand services in South East Queensland.

Save on travel

Here's a list of all the ways you can maximise your savings even further when you travel:

  • Children aged between five and 14 years travel free on the weekend when travelling with an orange child go card. There must be money on the card (in addition to the card deposit), even when travelling free on the weekend.
  • Seniors travel free Brisbane City Council buses and in the Gold Coast City Council areas during off-peak travel times. See our concession page for more info.
  • Children under 5 travel free.
